Volcanologist Boris Behncke has captured Mount Etna’s fifth eruption this year, which happened last Sunday (April 1). As described by Behncke himself, ‘for one-and-a-half hours, lava fountains roared hundreds of meters into the night sky, and a dense column of gas and ash rose much higher.’ Source: etnaboris/flickr Photo Credit: Boris Behncke
