Male ejaculation is influenced by female sex noises

If you are convinced you always make the ladies scream out of pleasure in bed, you may get disappointed. It seems that women use moaning, sighing, and dirty talk to manipulate men’s ejaculatory behavior to their advantage.
Researchers of the University of Central Lancashire and the University of Leeds investigated the phenomenon of making sex noises, or copulatory vocalization, and their relationship to orgasm in women. They recruited 71 sexually active, heterosexual women, ages 18 to 48, and asked them during which sexual activity they were most likely to experience an orgasm – for example during oral sex – and when they made sounds while having sex.

The researchers found that the reported vocalizations did correlate with orgasm, but not with their own. Although female orgasms were most commonly experienced during foreplay, their copulatory vocalizations were reported to occur more often before and simultaneously with male ejaculation.

It turns out, women make sex noises to help their partner climax. 66% reported making noise to speed up their partner’s ejaculation. Reasons included discomfort or pain, boredom, fatigue, or time limitations. Remarkably, 92% reported believing that these vocalizations boosted the self-esteem of their partner, and 87% percent reported using them for this purpose. According to the scientists, promoting male self-esteem “may strengthen the pair bond, decreases the risk of emotional infidelity and abandonment, resulting in continued access to resources and protection.”

But guys – don’t worry about this manipulating behavior. Male ejaculation that is influenced by female sex noises, seems to be all-natural. In the animal kingdom, the Barbary macaque can only ejaculate while hearing sex noises with the right intensity and speed.
