Creating a piece of art with a few pairs of snow boots? Artist Sonja Hinrichsen and 5 volunteers spent hours in the freshly fallen snow to imprint these unique spirals at Rabbit Ears Pass in Colorado. “I’m not so into making art that lasts,” Hinrichsen told the paper. “The world is saturated with manmade projects. I don’t think I need to add more things to the planet.”
However, Sonja’s work is not as impermanent as it seems. Though the snow will eventually melt, the pictures are here to stay. Also, an additional video was produced by Cedar Beauregard using a camera mounted on a remote-controlled helicopter. You can watch the video below.
