A legendary writer and fierce critic of politics, literature and history, Gore Vidal passed away last week at the age of 86. Some of his greatest work focused on presidents of the United States throughout history as well as the politics of war and deception. In a 2003 documentary for PBS, “The Education of Gore Vidal,” produced by Deborah Dickson, he spoke candidly about many of these topics. Today on the podcast we present an excerpt from that documentary, as Gore Vidal talks about the United States, former presidents, and war.
