Pic of the Day: Diamond Head Crater

This volcanic tuff cone is in O’ahu, Hawaii, and is thought to have been formed about 150,000 years ago. It is part of the Honolulu Volcanic Series, which resulted in many craters and cones in the island. I especially like how the city has grown close to the crater.
