Two things seem to be true about Australian animals. Many are unique. Marsupials like koalas, kangaroos and many others can be found nowhere else in the world. Also, Australia definitely has its fair share of some of the world’s most dangerous creatures. Of the top ten most deadliest snakes of the world, Australia has six on the list.
The common tiger snake is found in southern and eastern Australia and can grow up to 1.5 metres in length. These are venomous snakes, and will attack if they are disturbed or threatened. Nice detail: they are also found in suburban areas.
The most poisonous creature – responsible for more deaths than snakes – can be found underwater. The toxic tentacles of the box jellyfish can stop cardio-respiratory functions in as little as three minutes. Although it is a beautiful jelly, it has slain more people than other marine animals.
