If you suspect that your partner only fantasizes about having sex with Victoria Secret models, hot celebrities or even porn stars, stop worrying! According to a new study, both men and women fantasize about the same thing: sex with their partner.
Researchers of the University of Granada interviewed 2250 heterosexual men and women, aged 18 to 73, about their sexual fantasies.
In addition to the significant finding that both sexes fantasize about their sweethearts, the researchers also discovered some differences. First of all their results confirmed, again, that men think more frequently about sex than women. Furthermore, they found that women have more romantic fantasies than men, while men think more often about exploratory sexual activities than women, such as participating in an orgy.
The researchers also examined whether the participants had experienced negative sexual fantasies in their lives and found that these unpleasant thoughts were most often related to sexual submission.
The results of the study will be published in the Spanish journal Anales de Psicología.
