For their annual photo contest, National Geographic Traveler magazine received more than 12,000 entries from 6,615 photographers in 152 countries around the world. All photos were judged on creativity and photographic quality by photographic experts. Now, the jury has announced the winners. The coming days, we will show our favorites.
Today, in the category Outdoor Scenes, merit winner “Looking into Another World” by Fred An. The photo depicts the beautiful colors of a Japanese maple tree during autumn, in the Portland Japanese Gardens. The purpose of the photographer was to bring a different perspective of this frequently photographed tree.
